Kingdom Reigning Finances
By: Deborah

(Romans 13:8) Owe no man anything, save to love one another: for he that loveth his neighbor hath fulfilled the law.
God desires his children to be free from debt so we can be liberated and free to do His will. He gives us promises and warnings regarding money (mammon). Money is a tool to use for God’s purposes. Unfortunately there are some who are slaves to money. The root cause of being enslaved to the love of money is greed and fear. However, God has not given us the spirit of fear and does not desire us to be covetousness towards money. We must let God’s faith arise in our hearts and believe it is He that will provide all of our needs.
Matthew 6:24 states, “No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” God owns everything. You don’t actually own anything- you are managing it for God. He’s the LAND LORD - because He is Lord over all the land. We pay Him a 10% maintenance fee and He lets us manage the other 90%.
The body of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) should be prospering, not the world! If the world has the money, they are trespassing on God’s territory. Satan tries to do that. He wants GOD’S GLORY. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy from God’s children and creation. John 10:10 says that “The thief (satan) comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy. I (Yeshua) have come in order that you might have life---life in all its fullness.” God loves you. Jesus said He will watch over us and be with us. He is our provider. God says in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd”. As a good shepherd, He is willing to die for His sheep. Not only is He willing, He did lay down His life freely on our behalf in order to save us from our sins. He also wants to prosper us and provide for all our needs. This includes our bills, shelter, clothing, and other needs.
We make choices every day whether we will prosper or not prosper. God instructs us to choose life so that we and our families will prosper. By choosing life, we must seek to obey God’s Word and follow God in every area of our lives, including our finances. You must choose to make Yeshua (Jesus) the LORD of your life. Ask yourself these questions. “Who is sitting on the throne of my heart? Is it God or “self”?” Do you feel like you are in a rat race that is bound to the almighty dollar? Break out of this cycle and put your affairs in God’s hands. The choices you make are critical in the times ahead.
The Lord gives us principles to follow in His Word, the Bible. It isn’t the same as the principles set by this world. This world says if I keep my money for myself, I’ll have more. God says when you give, you receive. Ask God to help you learn to mange your money now. Ask God to teach you His ways. Don’t be caught up in greed. Money can work for you or against you. You must choose.
If you have never asked Yeshua (Jesus) to be the Lord of your life and forgive you for all your past sins and mistakes, you have the opportunity to do that now. Ask Him to do this and pray from your heart. If you have made Him Lord but you haven’t followed His directions, repent.
Yeshua came and showed us how we are to experience the Kingdom of God on this earth. He went so far as to give His life for you and pay the price of your sins by dying. The good news is that He didn’t stay dead but he rose again and is with us each and every day though His Holy Spirit who He sent to us. God is closer than your very breath. He knows every hair on your head. He waits for us and longs to have intimacy with His creation. Ask Him to come into your heart and cleanse your life. Ask Him to direct your steps every day. Ask Him to help you to be debt free. He is our provider. He loves you just as you are and enough to help you change into the man or woman of God you were destined to be. Meditate on Psalm 23 and be refreshed in the Lord today.
(Psalm 23:1-6) The LORD is my shepherd; I have everything I need. He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water. He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised. Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, LORD, for you are with me. Your shepherd's rod and staff protect me. You prepare a banquet for me, where all my enemies can see me; you welcome me as an honored guest and fill my cup to the brim. I know that your goodness and love will be with me all my life; and your house will be my home as long as I live.
